Security Consulting With a Purpose: Convoy Group’s Foundation and Five Core Service Pillars
Convoy Group is a mission-driven, values-first security consulting firm led by veterans of U.S. Special Operations and the intelligence community. Our founders saw a significant gap between common approaches to contract security and the highly nuanced requirements clients require and deserve.
Firsthand experience with simplistic security methods, opaque service delivery, neglected organizational culture – and the hidden risks these created for clients – shaped the vision for what would become today’s Convoy Group.
Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, we established our foundation on six core values – Transparency, Training, Teamwork, Professionalism, Autonomy, and Flexibility (T3PAF) – and built each service around the principles of High Reliability Organizations (HROs). These fundamentals guide every security, intelligence, investigation, and training program we deliver, as well as the individual and collective decisions of our team.
Over time, our capabilities evolved into four core pillars:
- Protective Services.
- Security Consulting Services.
- Intelligence and Investigation Services.
- Security and Intelligence Training Services.
Together, these pillars and fundamentals form a comprehensive, intelligence-led framework for protecting organizations, executives, nonprofits, and communities. Our service area is nationwide, and our capabilities extend internationally – supporting clients from California’s Bay Area to the D.C. Beltway, including private corporations, family offices, nonprofits, and public entities.
Yet what truly separates us is a fifth, values-oriented pillar:
- Philanthropy.
Service doesn’t end when the mission does. We’re proud to give back through veteran and community initiatives – offering sponsorships, reduced-rate and pro bono security support, and direct involvement in nonprofit events that strengthen the people and communities we belong to and protect.
